Legally Blonde TV series in development

A TV series based on the movie Legally Blonde is in the works at Amazon Prime Video, with Reese Witherspoon on board as an executive producer. The project will be helmed by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the duo behind Gossip Girl. While there are no plot details yet, the development follows Amazon’s acquisition of MGM in 2022, which granted them access to various franchises, including Legally Blonde. The original film, released in 2001, followed the story of Elle Woods as she pursued a law degree at Harvard.
