Leaked report finds Kamloops mayor committed 12 Code of Conduct violations; Hamer-Jackson denies all allegations
KAMLOOPS — Last spring, a third-party investigation was launched into alleged Code of Conduct violations by Kamloops Mayor Reid Hamer-Jackson stemming from complaints from four separate employees.
The mayor says a copy of the unredacted report by the Integrity Group was delivered to him earlier this week. Hamer-Jackson has provided a copy of that report to CFJC News, saying the totality of the report is false and he now plans to clear his name.
The report, conducted by Terry Honcharuk of the Integrity Group, concludes that the mayor’s conduct on 12 occasions between November 2022 and April 2023 was in violation of the city’s council policy with regards to three different city employees.
The mayor did not take part in the investigation but now plans to use the information disclosed to help him fight the allegations which he continues to deny.
