Emergency department in 100 Mile House temporarily closed due to ‘limited nursing availability’
UPDATE (8:00 a.m.): Interior Health told CFJC Today additional staff were able to take on the shifts, and the closure is no longer in effect.
EARLIER: 100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — Emergency services will be unavailable in 100 Mile House for most of the day.
In a notice Thursday (March 28) morning, Interior Health says the emergency department at 100 Mile District General Hospital is temporarily closed until 7 p.m. Thursday due to limited nursing availability.
The health authority says all other inpatient services will continue as normal at the 100 Mile House hospital but residents who need emergency care are being rerouted to Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake during the closure.
