Barb’s Used Book and Music Sale to bolster Kamloops Symphony Orchestra

KAMLOOPS — Gently used books, sheet music, vinyl records and CDs will be on sale during Barb’s Used Book and Music Sale, which is slated to run from April 6 to April 20 at St. Andrew’s on the Square.

The Kamloops Symphony Orchestra’s team of volunteers run the semi-annual sale and use proceeds to cover expenses such as concert productions and educational programs.

From Monday to Friday, the sale runs from noon to 5 p.m. It runs from noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

Most items will be sold for $3, but children’s books are $2.

Donations for the sale will be accepted from 9 a.m. to noon from April 1 to April 3 at at St. Andrew’s on the Square.

Tattered books and VHS and cassette tapes will not be accepted.

The City of Kamloops has provided book recycling bins at the Big Little Science Centre, the Tournament Capital Centre, North Kamloops Library and McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre.

The sale is named after former KSO board member Barb Corbishley, who spearheaded the event prior to her passing.
