Storm shut out Eagles 1-0 in game seven, move on to face Grizzlies in round two
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Storm are moving on to the second round of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) playoffs.
In front of 1,000 fans at McArthur Island, the Storm shut out the Sicamous Eagles 1-0 in game seven of their first-round playoff series Monday (March 4) night.
Nathan Bohmer scored on the power play near the halfway point of the first period and that’s all the Storm needed to secure the win. Goaltender Colton Phillips-Watts stopped all 32 shots he faced.
The Storm begin their second-round playoff series – the Doug Birks Division Finals – Friday (March 8) for game one on the road against the Revelstoke Grizzlies.
