Kamloops’ Kelly Olynyk inks extension with Raptors
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops’ Kelly Olynyk is sticking around with the Toronto Raptors, as first reported by NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski via X (formally Twitter). The Raptors themselves have since confirmed the deal on X as well.
According to Wojnarowski, Olynyk is signing a two year, $26.25 million contract, the maximum value available to centre.
Olynyk was traded to the Raptors along with Ochia Agbaji from the Utah Jazz ahead of the NBA trade deadline last month in exchange for Otto Porter Jr., Kira Lewis Jr, and a 2024 first round pick.
The Kamloops native was in the final of a three-year contract he signed with the Detroit Pistons in 2021.
