KAMLOOPS — Blazers forward Jordan Keller was recognized for his efforts in the past three games, as he was named the WHL’s Player of the Week on Monday.

Keller scored a pair of goals and added an assist, and was named first star of the game last Wednesday (Feb. 28) in the Blazers’ 5-2 victory over the Spokane Chiefs. On Friday, he had a goal and an assist in the Blazers’ 5-3 loss to the Seattle Thunderbirds. On Saturday, he had his fourth straight multi-point game, in a 3-2 win over the Vancouver Giants.

Keller was quick to credit his teammates for their part in his success on the ice.

“I’m fortunate enough to play with a lot of good players,’ Keller told CFJC Today. “My linemates have been awesome all season long, so it’s been a lot of fun.”

Since being acquired in November as part of the deal that sent Fraser Minten to the Saskatoon Blades, Keller has amassed 37 points in 38 games, including 13 goals and 24 assists. Blazers’ coach and GM has had a front-row seat for the Keller show in recent games.

“He’s brought work ethic, consistency, passion, tenaciousness, and a good level of skill,” Shaun Clouston says. “You add that with some chemistry with his linemates and it’s been fun to watch.”
