Kamloops man charged with arson in downtown vehicle fire
KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops man has been charged with arson after a vehicle was set on fire last week.
Kamloops Fire Rescue members called RCMP to the scene of a burning van in the 700-block of St. Paul Street just before 8:00 a.m. last Friday (Feb. 23).
Detachment spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says officers located a suspect about four blocks away, in the 300-block of St. Paul, and arrested him.
Kamloops resident Troy Mitchell Felix, 27, is facing a single count each of arson related to intentionally or recklessly causing damage or explosion to property and theft of a portable battery booster.
