Former president and CEO Halpenny appointed Interior Health board chair

KAMLOOPS — Interior Health’s former president and CEO is its new board chair.

In a news release issued Wednesday (Feb. 28), B.C. Minister of Health Adrian Dix announced Dr. Robert Halpenny will take on the role, effective immediately.

Halpenny previously served as the president and CEO of IH for a five-year period ending in 2015.

His career in health care also includes eight years as a family physician in Vancouver, plus 30 years in various administrative roles.
