Storm drop opener of best of 7 KIJHL playoff with Sicamous

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Storm opened their 2024 Kootenay International Junior Hockey League first round series last night (Feb. 23) with a 4-3 overtime loss against the visiting Sicamous Eagles.
Sicamous outshot Kamloops 35-26 on the night. Loch Stefanishyn scored two goals for the Storm, while Nathan Bohmer scored one. Caleb Dehoog had the winning goal for the Eagles at 9:29 of the first extra period.
Game two of the best of seven will be played tonight (Feb. 24) inside Mac Isle at 7 p.m.
