Kamloops Storm earn home ice in first round of KIJHL playoffs

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Storm are off to the playoffs after locking up home ice advantage on the final weekend of the KIJHL regular season.

The Storm fell in overtime to the 100 Mile House Wranglers on Saturday, but the three point weekend allowed the Kamloops squad to jump Sicamous for second in the Birks Division.

In overtime, the leading scorer for the Wranglers, Ethan Davey scored his 23rd goal of the year for the victory. Kamloops outshot 100 Mile House 42-35. I

The Storm rested two of their veterans in the contest, goaltender Colton Phillips-Watts and defenceman Devin Benson.
