TRU WolfPack basketball men win, women fall to Mount Royal

KAMLOOPS — Denys Bachurin scored 22 points Saturday (Feb. 10) as the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men’s basketball team held off the visiting Mount Royal Cougars 84-80.

Daniel Bost added 20 points for the WolfPack (6-12), including a three-pointer to put the game away late.

Holt Tomie scored 17 points for the Cougars (8-12).

The ‘Pack still have hopes of making the Canada West playoffs, but must win their two games in Victoria against the UVic Vikes next week.

The women’s team fell 65-50 to the Cougars Saturday.
