Blazers fall 6-3 to Rockets Friday night

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers fell 6-3 to the Kelowna Rockets Friday night (Feb. 9) on home ice.

Kelowna shot out of the gate with four goals in the first period, from Hirkoi Gojsic, Max Graham, Gabriel Szturc, and Luke Schelter.

In the second period, the Rockets’ lead was extended by two more goals from Caden Price and Andrew Cristall.

Blazers’ forward Emmett Finnie rallied with one goal to close the second period, and another successful shot on net in the start of the third. Zach Pantelakis completed the scoring for Kamloops with one goal late in the third period, which also marked his first Western Hockey League goal.

Today (Feb. 10) the Blazers travel to Kelowna for round two with the Rockets this weekend at Prospera Place at 7 p.m.
