Harper Mountain temporarily pausing operations amid warmer temperatures

KAMLOOPS — After a delayed start to its ski and snowboard season due to a milder winter, Harper Mountain is halting its lifts once again.

In a post to social media Tuesday (Jan. 30), the family owned and operated ski hill near Kamloops says warmer temperatures have caused it to pause operations until the weekend as snow grooming isn’t possible with wet snow.

Environment Canada forecasts highs in the double digits and lows in the plus temperatures from Wednesday to Friday.

Harper Mountain says it expects to restart operations over the weekend when seasonal temperatures resume.
