SALMON ARM, B.C. — Two former team leaders with the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) have been promoted to general managers.

Derek Sutherland becomes the General Manager, Community and Protective Services. His previous role was Team Leader, Protective Services.

Ben Van Nostrand moves into the role of General Manager, Environmental and Utility Services. He was previously Team Leader, Environmental Health Services.

“These new roles have been created within the CSRD organization as part of a restructuring plan designed to improve efficiency and service delivery,” a news release from the CSRD stated.

“We appreciate the expertise they have brought to the organization and are excited to have them take on these newly expanded roles. We know they will continue to play a vital role in the success of the CSRD as we move forward,” MacLean added.
