Woman turns herself in to police after reported robbery at Valleyview motel
KAMLOOPS — A woman turned herself into police on Saturday (Jan. 20) after a reported robbery in Valleyview the day before.
In a news release issued Tuesday morning, Kamloops RCMP say the woman was arrested for assault causing bodily harm, pointing a firearm and robbery. The robbery reportedly transpired at a motel room on the 1800-block of Trans Canada Highway East on Friday where a person entered a room with a firearm, robbed the occupants of cash and made threats.
Police say the woman’s arrest was also related to a report from Jan. 3 where she had also been suspected in an incident on Jan. 2.
The woman was released with a court date and conditions.
