Williams Lake search yields drugs, $16,000 in cash: RCMP

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — RCMP officers in Williams Lake got a big haul from the search of a home last week.

In a news release, Staff Sgt. Brad McKinnon says Williams Lake RCMP got help from the Cariboo Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit and B.C. Highway Patrol members in searching a local home last Wednesday (Jan. 10).

The search uncovered illicit drugs, an illegal gun and ammunition, as well as about $16,000 in cash.

McKinnon says officers are still investigating and may release more details in the future.
