Kamloops cancer patients invited to two-day support care services program
KAMLOOPS — Cancer patients in the Kamloops area are invited to a two-day, in-person program that provides supportive care services at the end of the month.
In a news release issued Monday (Jan. 15) morning, the Kamloops Cancer Supportive Care Society says all cancer patients – newly diagnosed, in treatment or post-treatment – are invited to join on Jan. 30 and 31.
The society says the two-day program is led by Dr. Hannah Nette of InspireHealth Supportive Cancer Care and a team of supportive care clinicians such as physicians, counsellors, dietitians and exercise physiologists.
Patients will learn about stress reduction, sleep management, self-care, nutrition, exercise and movement, lymphatic and immune support and healthy communication.
