PORTLAND, OR. — It was an unusual start time for the Kamloops Blazers in Portland Monday (Jan. 15) — but unfortunately the game’s result has become all too familiar.
The Winterhawks trounced the Blazers 7-1 in an afternoon game on the Martin Luther King Day holiday in the U.S.
Ashton Ferster registered the Blazers’ lone goal in the third period.
Ryan Miller had 4 points for Portland.
Next up, the Blazers travel to Wenatchee tomorrow night to face the Wild.
