WolfPack secure a win in emotional return to court

WINNIPEG — Just over one month after the devastating car crash that took the like of Owyn McInnis and caused life-altering injuries to Owen Waterhouse and Riley Brinnen, the TRU WolfPack men’s volleyball were back in action last night (Jan. 5) in Winnipeg.

The team were able to secure a 3-1 victory against the Wesmen. With the win, the WolfPack moves to 5-6 on the season.

“That was for 2, 15 and 19,” said head coach Pat Hennelly, in reference to the jersey numbers of Owen Waterhouse, Owyn McInnis and Riley Brinnen.

The women’s team also secured a victory, beating the Wesmen 3-2.
