Kamloops Storm roll into winter break off massive win
KAMLOOPS — The final game before the winter break and a chance for junior hockey players to head home and see family can be a tough game to be mentally prepared for. Many times have teams begun their vacation a few periods too soon, and such was the case on Friday night in Kamloops.
The Storm won their fifth game in six starts and their third in a row against the Chase Heat, beating them 8-1 at McArthur Island Sports Center.
Kamloops led 1-0 after the first period and were up 2-0 after two periods as they raise their record to 20-7-0-1.
The scoring barrage came from eight different players, with Sam Zulyniak, Jake Phillips-Watts, Braycen Dube, Ty Horner, Evan Douglas, John Spraggs, Same Lewis and Isiah Bagri all bulging the twine in the laugher.
