Fantasia Barrino Calling Out Airbnb

Fantasia Barrino claims she and her family were racially-profiled by an Airbnb host who accused them of having a loud party and forcing them to leave. She says the host never specified that they “weren’t allowed to have any company over,” tweeting, “The amount of guests we reserved for are the amount of guest who stayed the night.” Barrino also says the house seemed to regularly host “parties and/or gatherings,” based on leftover party supplies she saw, along with features like a fire pit, hot tub, and “well equipped game room.” “It’s evident to me this was racial profiling and the treatment we received was due to the color of our skin,” she wrote. The singer also exclaimed that the party was to make her son “feel special” since’s she’s been on the road promoting The Color Purple for over a month.
