Fog advisory issued for North Thompson Monday morning

UPDATE (6:30 a.m.): The fog advisory has ended.

EARLIER: KAMLOOPS — Residents and travellers in the North Thompson can expect a foggy start to their week.

Environment Canada issued a fog advisory for the North Thompson region Monday (Dec. 18) morning. It’s due to moisture trapped in the valley and a weak ridge of high pressure.

The weather agency warns travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some stretches. Drivers are asked to turn their lights on and keep a safe following distance if their visibility is reduced.
