Blazers drop sixth straight, fall to Blades 5-1

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers lost to the Saskatoon Blades 5-1 Wednesday (Dec. 13) night, falling to 0-4 on their five-game Prairie road trip.

The Blazers surrendered three goals within the first six minutes of the first period and never got the game back within striking distance. Harrison Brunicke scored on a rebound for the Blazers’ only goal of the contest.

The Blazers fall to 7-20-3-2 on the 2023-24 Western Hockey League season, good for 19 points in 32 games. They remain at the bottom of the Western Conference standings.

The Blazers wrap up their Prairie road trip Friday (Dec. 15) night when they visit the Moose Jaw Warriors. The Blazers’ next home game is Wednesday, Dec. 27 against the Kelowna Rockets from Sandman Centre.
