Storm score early en route to 5-1 over Heat in Teddy Bear Toss game
KAMLOOPS — Fans at McArthur Park Arena didn’t have to wait long to toss their stuff animals, socks, toques and gloves on the ice Saturday (Dec. 9) night.
Jake Phillips-Watts scored 2:26 into the first period en route to the Kamloops Storm defeating the Chase Heat at home 5-1 as part of their Teddy Bear Toss night. The goal gave 551 fans in attendance the green light to throw their warm items onto the ice to help Christmas Amalgamated.
Additionally, a 50-50 draw was held with proceeds going to the Kamloops Food Bank.
