KAMLOOPS — From buses, to police cars, and now ambulances the holiday season tradition of stuffing various vehicles for worthy causes rolled on Friday (Dec. 8) in Kamloops.

Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) staff, along with members of the public donated food, clothing, and toys for a number of charitable organizations in the community.

It’s the first year the the hospital has attempted to stuff the ambulance, all in the name of holiday spirit.

“We really wanted to celebrate the Christmas season, and the holiday season here,” said RIH Clinical Operations Director Joshua Sharp. “And knowing that there are so many unfortunate families going without this holiday season, we took that as a call to action from royal inland. are staff were dedicated to come and support this cause and just give back to our community.”

While the event wrapped up this afternoon at 2:00 P.M., with the donations distributed to the food bank, Christmas Amalgamated and Emerald House, anybody looking to help out can still drop off items at the hospital.

“We will be accepting donations even after the fact, after 2:00 P.M. here. And if they want to bring those donations into the first floor of the main tower into our nursing administration office, we would be happy to take those and get those distributed out,” added Sharp.
