Eastbound traffic on Highway 1 west of Chase halted after semi-truck loses load

UPDATE (10 a.m.): DriveBC says the Trans Canada Highway west of Chase is now operating in single-lane alternating traffic. Drivers are still told to expect delays.

EARLIER: CHASE, B.C. — The eastbound lanes of the Trans Canada Highway west of Chase is closed Friday (Dec. 8) morning.

DriveBC says a vehicle incident on Highway 1 between Chief Neskonlith Drive and Shuswap-Chase Creek Road has the stretch of roadway closed.

Photos sent to CFJC Today show a semi-truck having lost its load on the roadway.
