Kamloops Fire Rescue douses house fire in Brocklehurst

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Fire Rescue made short work of a house fire in Brocklehurst Monday morning (Dec. 4).

The call came in around 9:30 a.m. Monday for a structure fire in the 800-block of Evergreen Place, just off Tranquille Road.

Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames but were quick to douse those. Although the home was heavily damaged, there was no one inside at the time of the fire.

“When we showed up here, heavy fire and smoke was coming out the front side of the building,” KFR Capt. Darryl Damini explained. “There didn’t seem to be any occupants around. The building appeared to be empty and it was confirmed that there was no one inside.”
