TNRD Advisory Committee Appointees needed for land use input

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) is seeking interested and qualified individuals to serve as appointees on the Advisory Planning Commission (APC).

Appointees will provide input on affairs regarding land use planning at the local government level, these include special planning studies, proposed amendment applications for zoning bylaws and official community plans.

A total of twelve members will embody the commission, with one appointee per electoral area and two appointees in the two areas with the greatest populations.

Members are expected to attend meetings in-person or via other electronic means on a monthly basis, serving a term expiring on April 1, 2027.

The application deadline to the APC has been extended to January 19, 2024.
