Blazers drop first of two straight in Victoria 6-1

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers were blown out by the Victoria Royals 6-1 Tuesday (Nov. 28) in their first of two games in two days on Vancouver Island.

The Royals scored the game’s first five goals before the Blazers’ Conner Radke scored his first career Western Hockey League (WHL) goal to end the shutout bid in the third period.

The Blazers fall to 6-14-3-2 on the 2023-24 WHL season, good for 17 points in 25 games. They remain at the bottom of the Western Conference standings.

The Blazers play one more game in Victoria Wednesday night before they return home to host the Royals Friday, Dec. 1 from Sandman Centre.
