Traffic partially blocked at Valleyview Drive overpass after semi-truck loses load of hay

KAMLOOPS — Drivers are being asked to stay away from the Highway 1 overpass on Valleyview Drive as crews clean up a large hay spill.
Kamloops RCMP confirmed a multi-vehicle incident at the Valleyview Drive on-ramp from Trans Canada Highway East shortly after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 28). Spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says a semi-truck was going underneath the overpassing heading into Valleyview when it overturned on the exit lane and lost most of its hay, blocking three lanes of traffic.
Traffic at the stretch of Valleyview Drive is expected to be backed up for the time being but there’s no estimated time for when the roadway will be all clear.
