KAMLOOPS — The Thompson Rivers WolfPack men and women’s volleyball teams hosted the Manitoba Bisons last night (Nov. 24), but they couldn’t secure a victory.

The women were facing one of the top teams in Canada, falling 3-1 inside TCC.

“”We knew we were in tough in the first half of the season in terms of the teams that we were playing but I thought we got better tonight and if we keep getting better we’ll set ourselves up in a decent spot after Christmas,” said WolfPack head coach Chad Grimm.

The men put up a good fight, going all the way to the fifth set. However, it wasn’t enough and the team lost 3-2.

“”It just seemed like we were a step behind in almost everything and Manitoba played well, they’re a young physical team and it was tough, I give credit to our guys for grinding it out in the fourth but we fell short again,” said head coach Pat Hennelly. “It’s disappointing because we’ve had better performances on the road so now we have to look at our preparation.”

The WolfPack will face the Bisons again later this afternoon (Nov. 25), inside TCC.
