Ashcroft RCMP run contest to find a name for their new police vehicle

ASHCROFT — Ashcroft RCMP are asking the help of a local youth to name the newest addition to the detachment.
“In October, 2023, Ashcroft RCMP became the proud owners of a shiny new Ford pickup. For now, it is affectionately named, ‘AS5101’, but we think you can do better!” they said.
In partnership with the Elizabeth Fry Society, the local detachment is running a contest to see who can come up with the best name for the new addition to the community. Only kids between the ages of 4 to 14 years old are allowed to participate and contestants can suggest only 1 name.
The winner will be announced in mid-December, when they will receive a plush Mountie Moose as well as their own die-cast police car to bring home.
