One person sent to hospital after pickup collides with semi south of 150 Mile House
150 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — One person was sent to hospital after a two-vehicle crash that closed a stretch of the Cariboo Highway south of 150 Mile House overnight Monday (Nov. 6).
North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson told CFJC Today the crash involved a semi truck and a pickup truck on Highway 97 near Omerotto Road at around 9:35 p.m. Monday.
Williams Lake RCMP say initial evidence suggests the pickup had crossed the centre line and struck the semi. The driver of the pickup was taken to hospital with injuries while the semi driver was reported to be uninjured.
BC Emergency Health Services confirmed to CJFC News that two ambulances responded to the scene and that one patient was transported to hospital in ‘critical condition’.
