Barb’s Used Book & Music Sale to be hosted in historic St. Andrews on the Square

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops area residents looking to update their winter reading and music supplies will soon have access to a massive selection with the return of Barb’s Used Book and Music sale.

Money raised through the semi-annual sale will go toward the Kamloops Symphony’s (KSO) operating expenses, concert productions and music school programs.

Christopher Young is the new executive director for the orchestra and the KSO’s music school, and says that fundraising is especially important as the organization plans to enhance its programming, after recently moving a new space downtown.

“With Kelson Hall, this wonderful space that Ron and Rae Fawcett brought to us and Western Canada Theatre, we now have the opportunity to do so much more and we will have a lot of plans to announce over the next weeks, months and years.”

The sale will be hosted through a new location this fall, in the historic St. Andrews on the Square Church along Seymour Street in downtown Kamloops.

“It’ll be exciting to start this next chapter of the sale and bringing all the people in to experience the venue and obviously all the books and music that will be there.”

Barb’s Used Book and Music Sale runs daily from November 12 until November 25. For more information, go to kamloopssymphony.com.
