KAMLOOPS — Fraser Minten will sport a new “C” sewn on his Kamloops Blazers jersey Friday (Nov. 3) evening.
In a social media post, the Blazers announced Minten will serve as their captain for the 2023-24 Western Hockey League (WHL) season.
The 19-year-old center was absent for the first 15 games of the Blazers’ season as he suited up in four games for the Toronto Maple Leafs to start the 2023-24 National Hockey League regular season.
Minten was the fourth-highest scorer for the Blazers in the 2022-23 Western Hockey League (WHL) season, scoring 67 points (31 goals and 36 assists) in 57 games.
