Residents asked to stay away from police presence in Westsyde

KAMLOOPS — A police presence is ongoing in a Westsyde neighbourhood Wednesday (Nov. 1) morning.

Cpl. Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson, says officers are executing a search warrant on the 500-block of Dairy Road. It’s an investigation that stemmed from a weapons report.

Meantime, residents are asked to avoid any areas in Westsyde where they notice more police vehicles than usual in order to give officers enough space to do their job safely.
