WolfPack roll to victory over Dinos

KAMLOOPS — The WolfPack men and women’s volleyball teams both secured a victory during their 2023-24 home opener last night when they played against the University of Calgary.

The women took all three sets in front of nearly 1300 fans, earning their first victory of the season.

“I think we did a lot of things pretty well, I think defensively we were good and a lot of the long rallies went our way,” said WolfPack head coach Chad Grimm. “I don’t think we were super awesome offensively in the final two sets, but we served well and made it hard on them to score and in the end that was the difference.”

On the men’s side, the visitors were doing well, leading 2-0. However, the WolfPack were able to turn it around, winning 3-2.

“We have to stabilize our serve and pass game for sure and I think Calgary will say the same thing,” said Hennelly on what his team can improve today. “I fully expect Calgary to come out and be better, and for us I know we can be better.”
