Back to Kamloops: Maple Leafs reassign centre Fraser Minten to Blazers
KAMLOOPS — Help is on the way for the Kamloops Blazers.
In a social media post Friday (Oct. 27) morning, the Toronto Maple Leafs announced they’ve reassigned 19-year-old centre Fraser Minten to the Blazers.
Minten suited up for the Leafs’ first four games of the 2023-24 National Hockey League regular season but didn’t score a point. He was a healthy scratch in the Leafs’ last three games.
Minten was the fourth-highest scorer for the Blazers in the 2022-23 Western Hockey League (WHL) season, scoring 67 points (31 goals and 36 assists) in 57 games. He joins a Blazers squad that’s at the bottom of the WHL Western Conference with one win, nine losses and two overtime losses, good for four points in 12 games.
