R.I.P.: B.C. Wildlife Park puts an end to Boo at the Zoo
KAMLOOPS — The B.C. Wildlife Park has announced the permanent end to Boo at the Zoo, saying attendance at the annual event was not high enough to offset costs.
In a statement on the park’s website, management says Boo at the Zoo put a lot of pressure on the park’s five-person facilities team.
The event would see scores of lights installed around the park, along with spooky displays and trick-or-treat stops for the little ones.
“…[T]he pressures to have hundreds of thousands of lights set up in time for Halloween within a short period of time is difficult and no longer feasible,” said the park.
