WolfPack fall short on opening night

KAMLOOPS — It wasn’t the best night for both women’s and men’s volleyball team last night when they played their first game of the 2023-24 Canada West season.

Thompson Rivers WolfPack women lost 3-0 to the Alberta Pandas, who was picked fourth in the CW Coaches Preseason Poll.

“It was our first game of the season, and we are a fairly young crew and that got to us for sure in the first set. I thought we did a good job of coming back and there were stretches where we played to our potential and stretches where we let the game get away from us,” said head coach Chad Grimm.

Meanwhile, the men fought hard against the CW champions Alberta Golden Bears, but couldn’t secure a victory, losing 3-1.
