Kamloops RCMP track stolen truck to Lac du Bois; Kelowna man arrested

KAMLOOPS — A Kelowna man was arrested after a police dog helped Kamloops RCMP officers track a stolen truck Wednesday (Oct. 18).
In a news release, detachment spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says police were alerted to a stolen green truck on Notre Dame Drive Wednesday at about 10:05 p.m.
Mounties were on the truck’s tail from Eighth Street to Lac du Bois Road. A police dog helped them find a suspect not far away and he was placed under arrest.
“The suspect is known to police and is being held in custody, with charge recommendations put forth for consideration as part of the assessment and approval process,” said Evelyn.
