WolfPack wrap up preseason with two games against the Heat

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson Rivers WolfPack men’s volleyball team finished up their preparation for the 2023-2024 Canada West regular season this past weekend.

The team played two games against the UBC Okanagan Heat inside TRU Old Gym. On Friday, the ‘Pack secured a victory with final score 3-1. Head Coach Pat Hennelly was happy with what he saw.

“Friday night was a solid performance, I thought we served and passed at a high level led by Dylan VanSpankeren,” he said.

However, the team fell short the next day and lost 3-2, but the coach had good things to say about the team’s performance. “We had a good start and an excellent second and third set but seemed to relax and allow the Heat to gain some momentum,” Hennelly said, but also credited UBCO for finishing strong and winning the game.
