Dates and venues set for Kamloops council’s public town hall meetings
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops residents may circle their calendars for when one of Kamloops council’s public town halls will be in their neighbourhoods.
In a news release issued Tuesday (Oct. 3), the City of Kamloops unveiled dates and locations for six hybrid format meetings in six neighbourhoods:
- Southeast (16 per cent of population) – Barnhartvale Hall; 7390 Barnhartvale Rd. – Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- North (14 per cent of population) – The Dunes at Kamloops; 652 Dunes Dr. – Thursday, Nov. 23 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Southwest 2 (14 per cent of population) – Tournament Capital Centre Meeting Rooms C and D; 910 McGill Rd. – Wednesday, Jan. 24 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Core (22 per cent of population) – Kamloops Kia Lounge at Sandman Centre; 300 Lorne St. – Thursday, Feb. 29 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Northwest (20 per cent of population) – McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre; 1665 Island Pwy. – Wednesday, March 13 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Southwest 1 (15 per cent of population) – Hal Rogers Centre; 2025 Summit Dr. – Thursday, April 25 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Following the six in-person meetings, the City says a seventh meeting will be held virtually via Zoom on Wednesday, May 22 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
