Kamloops Fire Rescue responds to early morning fire at marine business in Valleyview

KAMLOOPS — Three boats at River City Marine suffered extensive damage as a result of an early morning fire in the Valleyview area of Kamloops.
Kamloops Fire Rescue was called to the business along the frontage road of the Trans Canada Highway at 4:23 a.m. Monday (Oct. 2).
Crews arrived to find the boats on the sales lot engulfed in flames. Two engines with eight firefighters responded to the blaze. They were able to limit the damage to just three boats. None of the buildings on the lot suffered damage.
Crews were able to contain the fire and snuff it out within 40 minutes.
