KAMLOOPS — Nathan Behm and Connor Levis scored goals 28 seconds apart late in the first period to lift the Kamloops Blazers to a 5 – 1 victory over the Vancouver Giants Friday (Sept. 29) in Kamloops.
Harrison Brunicke and Emmitt Finnie added goals in the second period before Shea Van Olm rounded out the Blazers scoring in the third period.
Vancouver’s Tyler Thorpe ruined Brett Mirwald’s shutout bid when he scored at 13:09 of the third period.
The Blazers outshot Vancouver 32 – 23 to improve their record to 1 – 0 – 0 – 1.
