Kamloops break-in, assault suspect leaves tooth at crime scene
KAMLOOPS — RCMP say the suspect in a downtown Kamloops break-in investigation may be whistling a new tune this week, as he lost a tooth in the process of committing the crime.
In a news release, detachment spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says just after 1:00 a.m. on Monday (Sept. 25), a man interrupted a break-and-enter in process. The man had been hit with a blunt object and was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
“During the altercation, the victim managed to strike the suspect and possibly knock out one of his teeth,” said Evelyn. “If you know anyone who had one less tooth on Monday morning and may be a suspect, please contact police as soon as possible.”
