Pack gets big win over Pronghorns
KAMLOOPS – The Wolfpack women’s soccer team achieved a 4-2 victory over the Lethbridge Pronghorns yesterday (Sept. 22).
Hawan Abdissa, Katie Chun, Ainsley Grether, and Emily Clark scored for TRU, while Rylie Mooney and Hailey Slobodian scored for Lethbridge. Esi Lufo recorded a pair of assists for the ‘Pack, bringing her total to five on the year, which is the second-highest in the conference.
“I thought in the first half we did everything we wanted to, coming in 3-0 at halftime is what you want,” said WolfPack head coach Mark Pennington. “We maybe took our foot off the gas a little too much in the second half, but we gave some opportunities to some first years and they came in and showed really well so we are really happy with their minutes.”
Cassandra De Amaral earned the victory for TRU with two saves, while Bridie Harding made eight heroic stops before leaving due to injury.
