Highway 97 closed due to vehicle incident near 100 Mile House

[Update 11:50 a.m]: Highway 97 is now open in both directions between Ainsworth Road and Alder Avenue.

100 MILE HOUSE – According to DriveBC Highway 97 is closed both ways between Ainsworth Road and Alder Avenue due to a vehicle incident.

Two ground ambulance units and one air ambulance responded to the scene among with highway crews.

DriveBC says drivers should expect delays and advises them to take a detour Northbound Highway 24 to Lone Butte off Road to Horselake Road or Southbound Horselake Road to Lone Butte Cut off Road to Highway 24.

B.C. Health Services said two patients have been transported to hospital.
