Man arrested after assault in downtown Williams Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — A man was arrested after reportedly attacking someone in downtown Williams Lake.
In a news release, Williams Lake RCMP say they responded to the report of one person with a machete attacking someone at around 2:20 p.m. Monday (Sept. 18).
The suspect reportedly left the scene on a bicycle before police arrived, but the victim was able to identify him.
The victim was sent to hospital with serious injuries while the suspect remains in police custody with potential charges of aggravated assault. RCMP say it’s believed the two are known to one another.
